Agent Operation and Status

Understand the data reported by agents and how online status is calculated.

The agent runs in the background as a Windows service. It registers the device at startup, then sends health and inventory information at regular intervals.

Reported data

  • Hardware inventory: CPU, RAM, disks, BIOS, motherboard, graphics, and network adapters
  • Installed Windows applications
  • Connected USB storage devices
  • BitLocker protection and recovery-key inventory
  • Logged-on users
  • System uptime and security status
  • Supported Windows events
  • ayaDesk remote-session readiness

A heartbeat is sent approximately once per minute. Full inventory is refreshed periodically and can be updated earlier when a USB device change is detected.
