Packages and Deployment
Upload installer packages and deploy them through agents.
Package deployment lets you send supported installers to selected computers remotely.
Deployment flow
- Upload a supported installer in Deployment packages.
- Verify its name, version, and silent-install parameters when needed.
- Create a deployment and select target computers.
- Save the deployment.
- Eligible agents receive the job during command polling and report the result.
Statuses
A deployment can move through pending, sent to agent, running, completed, or failed states. A deployment that has been sent or is running cannot be deleted.
Use a test group first
Test new packages on a small device group before broad deployment. Verify silent-install parameters and restart behavior.
